RETENTION SYSTEM FOR HIGH PRESSURE HOSES - STOP FLEX
STOP - FLEX
This system is designed to stop the path of the flexible hose, thus preventing the energy contained inside from triggering an unexpected “whip effect”.
STOPFLEX protects both the operator and components and is recommended by the International Hydraulic Safety Authority (IHSA), the world leader in hydraulic safety training. Suitable for all kinds of flexible hose, 1SN, 2SN, R12, 4SH, R13, etc.
RELEASE PHASE:
The bad execution of the pressing of the ferrule to the hose, or the excessive pressure exerted on it, exceeding the limits allowed by the manufacturer, causes the tube to completely detach from the bushing that holds it. During this phase the flexible hose acquires speed and power due to the increase in pressure of the contained oil.
RELEASE PHASE:
In this phase, the pressurized oil escapes from the flexible tube that begins to release all the force it contained inside, acquiring considerable speed and triggering an unexpected "whip effect", very dangerous for things or people around it.
SUPPORT PHASE:
In this phase, the Stopflex system comes into operation: the steel cable is tensioned and deformed while the plate cuts the rubber of the hose, preventing the clamp firmly anchored to the tube from detaching. The clamp and plate, in turn, begin to elastically deform, absorbing the force caused by the stroke of the flexible hose.
